It’s simple. We listen to people in need of solutions. We create solutions based upon what we hear. We ensure that those solutions are aligned with the core values and key objectives of the person/organization we listened to. Those solutions include workshops, panel discussions, business and marketing strategies, keynotes, and customer experiences. Whether it’s getting unstuck, leadership, personal brand, networking, emotional intelligence, personal mastery, work/life strategies or a customized topic, we will create the right solution.
Pathfinder and Founder, Monica Cost, was often called, “the voice of reason,” growing up. Over time, she was seen as someone who could help people gain understanding of their circumstances, as well as, next steps to achieving goals. While working in corporate America, Monica was called upon by her managers, co-workers, and employees to assist with their personal brand management; a role above and beyond her job. In 1997, she started her company part-time. It was initially a personal brand company assisting professionals in building authentic personal brands for professional success and personal development.
Over the years, and as Monica climbed the corporate ladder with Fortune 500 companies like: Prudential, The TJX Companies, Inc., Reebok, and commercial real estate company, Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., the company transitioned into a pathfinding firm. The Core Value Company was born out of a need for organizations and individuals to assess circumstances from a variety of angles and then to create understanding and execution of next steps.
The crux of the work of The Core Value Company is based in Monica’s trademarked, Value Identification Process™; a process that assists individuals in identifying, defining and living by their core values. The benefits of this process are displayed in leadership, entrepreneurship, relationships and self-discovery.
After 17+ years of working in corporate America for, and partnering with, Fortune 100 and 500 companies, Monica, and The Core Value Company, are moving the needle on human development in the professional and personal arenas.
Monica is a co-parent of two teenaged boys with her former husband who enjoys spending time with friends, meeting new people, traveling and working out. She credits her mother, Veronica Hairston, with much of the success she has experienced and her younger sister, Tiffany Marie Lindsey (founder of The Skinny Peel), for her constant encouragement. While Monica believes in balance, she is does not subscribe to the notion of “spare time”. "Each moment is purposed. Whether connecting with friends, creating a new workshop, doing homework with the boys, taking a nap, or simply sitting in quiet, it’s all necessary for the balancing of our spirit.”
